Default '05 Z-71 Automatic Doorlock Disable?

Just got an '05 Z-71 and the Auto Doorlock feature is driving me nuts. The manual gives you 2 choices: 1) autolock when you engage transmission, 2) autolock when you hit 8 MPH.

I can't find any direction in the owners manual where you can disable it completely and lock the doors whenever you choose to.

Since the 2005 model year, all BCM's (Body Control Modules) are programmed from the factory to allow two personalized door lock settings:
Setting 1: All doors lock when the transmission is shifted into gear.
Setting 2: All doors lock when the vehicle speed is greater than 8 mph (13 km/h).

New BCM calibrations have been released for the 2006 and 2007 model years to allow a Setting 3: No Automatic door locking (Manual).

This setting should ONLY be turned on at the owner's request. At this time there is NO new calibration available for the 2005 models or vehicles with manual transmissions.
