Default 07 CD/DVD nav unit - CD broken

I've got an 07 Tahoe with the CD/DVDNav unit and the CD player was broken today. Everything else seems to work fine. So my question is, will I have to replace the entire unit to get the CD player working again, or will the dealershipbe able to just orderCD/DVD player and replace it?

A word to the wise...keep pennies and dimes away from from theCD/DVD slot. For that matter, keep your kidsawayfrom ittoo.

Welcome to the forum. My guess is that they'll have to replace the complete unit but others here may know better.

Let me guess, the younguns thought it was an arcade game?

If the damage is caused by a foriegn object as you suggest it will not be coverd under the warranty.

I would first remove the head unit from the dash and attempt to remove the penny, if not the unit will have be shipped off to a repair facility and repaired which is much less expensive than replacing the unit.
