A good hard tug will pull the cup holder out and it will fit in either location, front or rear or you can leave it out altogether.

 

Thanks, that is what I figured however I sure didnt want to break it. I will give it a tug next time and see what I can tear up.

I ordered. However they said that part number is discontinued and now has a new part number. As I mentioned the new part number was the same piece, but almost 3 times the money. I told them I am only interested if it is the cheaper older part number.

They said they have put and order in for the old part number and will see which on they get. They should have it early next week.

As for installation, I believe Dave mentioned it is as simple as snapping it into place, no installation difficulties!

If I end up getting it next week i will post the pictures as soon as i get it installed.

 

GM Parts Direct shows this P/N (http://www.gmpartsdirect.com/results.cfm) at about $32. No pic tho so don't know if it's the right thing.

 

I saw the same thing. Anyone want to take a chance getting it to see if it's the right thing?
