I was really interested but HOLY COW, where did all the storage area go?

 

I am not sure, but i think i would give up the storage for the look. Hell you can fit a 30 pack under the armrest! That will suffice for storage.

But the color, grrr. Thanks for looking into this dave. Let me know what you can find out so I can let my parts guys know!

 

Well I know that it has to be out there since they have a picture of an LTZ with the cubby cover in the new Tahoe catalog.

 

The part is out but not in the parts system for ordering yet, my partner has one of these units in his LTZ but it didn;t fit flush so he's been screwing around trying to get it right, I asked him if we could get the part# off the bottom of it but the dumb sob peeled it off yesterday.
I'll get the correct # by monday.


Stuffing crap in the open compartment looks tacky and is just bad form, I'll go for the clean look of this gadget any day.

 

That's one. And I don't consider Larry the Cable Guy a great philosopher. But he is funny as hell IMO.

Does the Yukon have this dark (walnut) woodgrain?

 

While we're looking for console parts find the woodgrain piece that covers the outer edge of the armrest. I've seen it in photos and the center console/armrest looks too plain without it.

 

Yeah I know.

I'm not going to stick my foot in mouth again on this subject and I don't have a Yukon mule in the compound to go look at right now.

I asked Dave the question about the trim piece around the armrest as well. He said it was an Escalade part and wont fit the tahoe!

 

My dealer has given 3 different part #s for this bezel. He says they come in different finishes, titanium being one of them. In my opinion the wood even if the same color as the other wood trim makes it look like too much wood. I am going to try to order the titanium.
