Default 07 foggy headlights

So my truck has that haze to the headlights. When I bought it the dealer said they would buff them. They had it back there working on it for a while and no results! Is the haze inside our lenses or do I just need new headlights?

There is a commercial kit out there to clean up the headlights.
You can use polishing compound (NOT rubbing compound) to do the same thing. Buy it at Walmart.
Most times that "fogging" is caused by fine grit and dust impacting the headlights over time.

I tried these "kits" with another vehicle I had... at best, it is a temporary repair (the problem kept returning on mine... and to be clear, tried doing myself AND had it done at a body shop), at worst it will be a waste of money and still worst, your time.

For what new headlight housings cost, imho you would be better to just replace them. Just search ...

I would second that, you can polish them and as long as you are willing to maintain that routine of regular polishing your good, but the best route is to replace them, however the after-market ones will only last a few years the OEM ones are built better but you will pay for that....
A lot of the aftermarket ones do have unique LED features to make your vehicle stand out though...

Something like this

Pulled the lights off and looked. And it's inside. Looks like someone attempted to pull them apart. I'll buy new ones soon

Default headlights

overtime UV destroys the plastic. Just replaced the headlights on the wife's tribute.

wish we'd done it sooner.

AMAZING night/day, crazy good difference.

Advance auto wanted like $150/each, I got some on amazon for $120/both!

the light they give off, is 100% better, and no more haze.
