Just and FYI for the DIY'er ZX correct me if I'm wrong, the fuel filter is built into the fuel pump assembly and is not a replaceable item for regular maintenance. I was up under my truck doing an inspection and noted that there was no filter on the frame as past GM trucks have had.
In defense of GM putting itin the tank,on my 97 Tahoe when I had to replace the fuel pump at about 130k I inspected the fuel tank and it was pretty dang clean even after 10 years of service and countless fillups.
