Any suggestions... my keyless remote is malfunctioning. It functions normally when I leave the vehicle andlock up. It has ceased to function when returning later to unlock/ remote start etc.. What is most interesting is... once I open up manually w/ the key all functions return to normal. I have changed the batt. and checked all settings in dash computer with no positive result.

 

Are the last 8 digits of your VIN # between 7J177482 and 7J270240 or 7R205597 and 7R297218?

 

Yes , in the middle of the second set of VIN.

 

Take your vehicle into your local Chevy dealer and have the Body Control Module reprogrammed as per GM Document ID# 1898229

I had the same problem and they told me that the reciever was bad and ordered a new one. I hope to get it this mon or tues. let's hope it works. They tried to reprogram and new remotes......nothing. I hope I don't have to replace the whole system. I will tell them to install the LCD remote alarm if they have that now. ZX any info on the new alarm (remote)
