07 LT3 Nav radio questions
I know this forum is littered with Nav radio questions but i am lost on an issue when looking for the GM Nav radio for my truck. I want to buy a GM NAV radio to replace the BOSE radio that came with my LT3. My Tahoe DOES NOT have the overhead DVD player however it DOES have the rear AM/FM/XM rear console entertainment center. looking for the NAV radio that goes with my vehicle that will allow the back console radio and my steering wheel controls to work like they should with the NAV radio I need. My glove box has RPO Code UQA, UE1, w/o RPO Code HP2, U42. Can anyone help me? I would like to find the radio i need off the internet instead of paying an arm and a leg from my dealership. Thanks in advance !!!!

I have a NAV unit I just took out of my 2007 LT3 Suburban. It is programmed for a rear entertainment system, but should work fine in your vehicle. It is my understanding that the key is finding a tech who has some experience doing this kind of programming and patience to take the time to get it right. If you are interested any further, PM me.
Hey guys! I'm new here and enjoying the threads, lots of collective knowledge. I stumbled onto this thread b/c my stereo is running in some form of safe mode since a disc got stuck in the head unit. For months, when the key was in the "on" position, the head unit would attempt for several minutes to dislodge the stuck disc, until finally, it gave up? Oddly enough, the unit no longer powers up upon starting the truck. I have to manually push the button for the clock to appear and strangely, for the back up sensors to work. Soooo... my question is, can I simply replace the unit with another oem "bose" head unit and expect all accessories, ie steering wheel controls, back up sensors, xm, onstar, and whatever else that thing does, to work? Any help is appreaciated. Oh, it's 07 tahoe lt3 with the bose upgraded NON navigation head unit. Thanks!

Theoretically, yes, everything should work just fine. You may have to have it programmed by the dealership, but I cannot be certain about this for the non navigation units. Either way, everything should work, assuming there are not any other issues with your truck - like the back up sensor issue you mentioned (weird
) ... Just make sure you buy a Bose system. Hope that helps! Good luck!!

I hate to post in an old thread. It's usually easier to just start a new one. However, since you have asked, I will in this case, to answer your question.

I recommend taking the vehicle to the dealership. They will be able to look at your vehicle and see if it needs to be programmed. Keep us updated.

I recommend NOT taking your vehicle to the dealership.
Did you know that dealerships are only there to make money? the sneaky bastards...
