my 07 LTZ just turned 50k and now the "Service Airbag" message and light appear for the first five miles or so then drop out, then when started again stay on for a few miles, etc

is this a return to dearlership programmed thing at 50k or something more sinister? if not sinister, is it something I can clear with the scanner or by disconnecting the battery or...?

Might get it scanned to see if any codes. If not, probably should check w/ ur service dept.

 

scanned it today, no codes but then again drove it 30+ miles and no light or message. doesn't appear to be any rhyme or reason to it

 

came on yesterday and 200 miles later is still on
