Default 07 Navigation - Driving on a Route

I am new to this site. I have OEM navigation in my 2007 Avalanche as well same plaform as Tahoe, Suburban.... There are two questions about Nav. 1) Auto reroute supposed to work however mine seems not working that way when I turn last minute turn or backroad and the auto rerouting isnt working. How can I find out to get it work or ?? 2) When a destination has been routed and you are driving on route, the map screen will automatically display the next maneuver. Also this next maneuver pop-up will display the next maneuver direction and how many miles you are from it. Acutally it does not show it at all. How can I find it to get it to work? Thanks for readning my post.

Regards

The auto re-route does not pop up immediately. It takes about a minute for my 07 Denso to realize I am off route.

Welcome to the Tahoe forum. You might check and ensure that off-road is turned off. Only other thing I can offer is to check the Nav manual. If you didn't get one, then sign up at mygmlink.com. You can download the manuals there.

My wife usually smacks me upside the head long before the auto-reroute pops up.

Guess what?? When I installed the OEM Nav - I already have VSS wire/harness from JP Customs however it was not hooked up to green/green with white line yet. I realized that VSS wire was not hooked to the existing wiring so last night i hooked it up and it worked just fineandsolved to my two questions in first post. Without VSS, Re-routing and next maneuver will NOT work! Enjoy 2008!
