Jaycough,

Yes, you have to hit the mute button 4x within six seconds for the DVD to work...it then stays working until you turn the truck off, or hit the window lock button 1x...

for the XM to work, you have to hit the window lock 4x within six seconds...this will automatically revert to it's original state in 60 seconds, or by hitting the window lock button 1x...

when below about 5mph, or when stopped / parked the system operates normally (ie. without any special button presses).

I set it up with only pin 1 down/on...which is mode #5 (late model, aux camera input off), as I have the factory backup camera installed on my feb07 build date 'hoe.

done!!!!!!!!! its installed and performing fine!! the hardest thing was removing that darn trim---hearing it pop and almost break into pieces was hard to bear[X(][X(]!!!!! also tucking in the wires was a bit challenging, but in the end, it was well worth it
thanks to the many guys on this post that made it easy with your bits of useful information!!!!

Well, here is something that I noticed tonight:

I have not yet installed an aftermarket Bluetooth kit, but have noticed the following:

1) When holding down the mute button until the beep is heard, I used to be able to say “Onstar” and it would start the onstar system, and reply with the words “onstar ready” … the voice recognition now does not recognize this command… I have to press the button on rear-view mirror to initiate this now…
2) The “Dial” prompt has disappeared from the “info” screen for the POI on the NAV radio…

Is this behavior normal?
Will the default factory behavior return after a Bluetooth kit is connected?

anyone else notice this?

Hi all,
Installed the lockpick and works great. My problems were, the video on the website shows you only plug in 1 plug, not true. You need to plug in 2 plugs. Also the wires were very hard to push back after the install. The instructions are for every GM & Chevyand need to be for each modelinstall, we spent $250.00, better instructions would be great. The box it came in was weak, smashed from ups. I dont like the push 4 times the mute everytime but no big deal, The website makes it seem like its all automatic. I hope it lasts longer than my payments, lol

Does anyone know if you were to install the GM lockpick Kit and the Onstar Kit to your 2007 Tahoe if that would end up voiding any warranty with GM or cause problems and issues with them?
Also the same thing goes with the iPod player utility?

Thanks,
Donnie

Yes, it would void your warranty. But unless they take out your nav unit, they have no way to tell. So if anything goes wrong with the nav unit, take out the lockpick then take it in for service, simple as that

Ok all. I need your help. I had the lockpick installed today and the DVD feature works but is some what of a pain. I push the window unlock 4 times and I have video on the front NAV screen. That part is great, however when I slow for traffic or to make a turn it reverts back to the blue screen. I then have to push the window lock 4 more times to get the video to come back up. Am I the only that this bothers, are others having this happen as well? Any thoughts or suggestions would be appreciated on how to make the video stay on even when I slow down.
