You could be right as I do remember bracing the hatch w/ a 2X4 but I think you added the part about which end to do first. Good teamwork.

I have 2008 Tahoe LTZ and the power lift gate clicks, buzzes, unlocks, but refuses to open and lift!!! I was told if I listed the mileage and VIN someone could help me? True? 80481 miles and VIN is 1GNFK13028J113497 Please help me!!

We don't see any open recalls on your vehicle at this time, and you are outside of your Bumper to Bumper warranty by time and mileage.
