Default 07 rear badging question

I'd like to take the Ethanol badge off of the rear right on the tailgate of my 07.

Is it a simple sticker that comes off or is it clipped into the talgate?

I want it off but don't want two holes showing afterwards.

Heat it up, peel it off slowly. Should be a standard stick on badge like a dealer would put on.

That's because apparently you don't have that option for your engine. Or they just put the badge on the higher models

Actually I was told the Early 2007 models were ethanol capable but did not have the badge, the later 2007 models did have the badge.

The E85 Endgate Badge is held on with 3M two sided trim tape and it is easily removed, take a blow drier and heat the emblem up and peel it off just be careful that as you lift it off that the opposite end doesn't gouge into the paint.

GM started applying the E85 emblem to Tahoe's built in June or later.

Look for option code LMG on your option RPO decal in the glove box, if that code is there then your Tahoe is E85 capable regarless of it having a badge or not or when it was built.
The non E85 5.3L engine option code is LY5
The code for the 4.8L (LS pkg only) is LY2 and it is not an E85 motor.

That makes sense that they just weren't putting the badge on until later.

ZX, thanks for the info, I can't stand how it looks now with it.

I bought my LTZ in early April. The sticker for mine is inside the gas door and not on the tailgate.

4WD are E85 FlexFuel capable and 2WD are not unless the option (LMG) was purchased.

Forget about the hair dryer... just take some dental floss, floss it behind the badge. Then just simply peel off the left over tape and use some Goo Gone or whatever to get off the excess glue. Took me like 2 minutes and no extension cords
