I have a 07 suburban with 91000 miles that is going through the oil issues associated with the 5.3. I have had the upper engine cleaning and shieid installed. In 1200 miles I am 1.5 qts low. Now my engine is running very rough at idle. While at a stop light my stability control light went on and a message to service stabiliy control showed.

Could these issues be related?

Sorry to hear of the troubles... are you getting any codes setting?
what is your fuel pressure reading?
How old is the battery and is the output of the alternator/generator good?
Poor battery connections can cause similar issues...
