Default 07 Suburban - Want To Add Backup Camera

After 12 years of driving my 2007 Suburban I realize I am getting to a point I really need a backup camera.

My current setup in my Suburban is factory Bose system with CD/DVD, all works well but I was thinking of spending a little $ and upgrading to this unit which has factory Navigation.

I currently use a Garmin GPS which has a battery camera that works...fair but the problem is I also tow a travel trailer which requires yet another screen so that's why I am interested in upgrading to the factory navigation - I can cut down one more screen.

Here is my question, the unit I found says it is ready for a backup camera. It is my belief that the Suburban is probably already pre-wired for a backup camera such as

Amazon Amazon

i say this due to my experience in working in MFG for 22 years I know it would be more cost effective to make a harness with the connections ready and then just hook the camera up if the customer shelled out more $.

Does anyone have any experience/feedback?

You would need the shop manual with wiring diagrams to identify if there are video cables in the harness. As well as modules for the camera.
alldatadiy.com is what I use for my ''fleet'' and have subscriptions of all of them.

Yes, but did you work for GM? Where brackets for 3rd row seats were not installed unless the vehicle was delivered with such seating, and where brackets for rear AC (like in my 1988 Suburban) were non-existent because the vehicle was purchased originally with just front AC ??? Yes, the add-on rear AC actually did fall down from the roof on that 1988....so don't assume anything.

Maybe a stereo install shop could help you.
