07 tahoe bumper fascia popping out
My wife's 07 tahoe has a problem with the bumper fascia on the driver side. It keeps "popping" out from under the driver side headlight. We have had this fixed 3 times by the dealer we purchased it from. Each time a week later the bumper pops out agian. It's frustrating esp. since the dealer is 50 miles away. What do I do next? Let the origional dealer try again, or try another dealer close by, or call GM (not sur they will do anything). Thanks for the help!
The only time I have heard of the fascia doing this is after suffering damage from a minor collision, if this is not the case then take it back to the selling dealership but precede the trip with a phone call to the service manager and explain to him that they need to replace the bumper fascia and stand your ground. Don't leave the Tahoe for repair unless they agree to fix it properly.
You may want to contact Chevrolet Customer Service @ 1-800-222-1020 if you think that it has already reached this point and they will get the regional service manager involved.

I agree with the 3 strikes deal. I had a problem with my nav unit. It was not the dealer but with the engineers they were calling for help. I called the GM customer service. Super nice and after about 3 weeks of calls from them, my new unit was installed....Great people to work with.
I have the same freaking issue with mine. It is also just aft of the left headlamp capsule. The fascia sticks out about 1/4" - 3/8" from the fender. I have pushed it back in about three times, it will stay put for a few days and then...
I guess that's another thing to put on my list for the next dealer visit.

I was in a minor accident with my tahoe the first week I had it. I was in the dealership 3 times to have them re-align the front facia before they realized they had to order new brackets that held the facia. The collision manager sent an email to GM saying the bracket that holds the front facia is a one time use bracket. The bracket that holds your facia probably needs to be replaced.
Brackets have been replaced once. Dealer service manager called today and acted really nice. They came and picked up the tahoe and gave me a loaner for a few days. They seem perplexed about it all. After 4 times then if it does not stay fixed I will call a freind of mine who is a lawer and ask some advice.

No cheating, I am not sure what you are talking about. Legal advice on how to deal with product warranty issues is all I want to know. For example will GM take back the truck due to a faulty bumper?
I would hope they wouldn't take the truck back because you had a minor issue with your bumper. Hopefully they will fix it right next time. It's obviously something that can be fixed. Maybe you should try a different chevy dealership. Also if you walk a new car lot look at brand new tahoes, most of them will not have front bumpers that are perfectly lined up. Sad but true, no car is built perfectly.
