Default 07 tahoe cruise control

Was coming back from a weekend trip and my cruise control wouldn't come back on. The cruise control light on the steering wheel turns on and off but the cruise doesn't work. Any ideas, hate going to the dealer.

That happens on my Silverado all the time. Sometimes all I have to do is turn my truck off and turn it back on. Other times I have to disconnect and reconnect teh battery. I'm outta respect for my dealership, so i haven't gone and tried to have them look at it.

If you have used your parking brake since the last time the cruise worked, set it and release it a few times so that it is fully released. It will stop the cruise from working even though the light for the e brake is not on.
