07 Tahoe flex fuel rough idle no codes/ transfer case/ front diff battle
Hi all, desperately seeking some guidance here-
my 2007 Tahoe flex fuel has been a **** box from purchase. Thanks to the awesome douche bag who sold it to me and lied about sooo much. Anyway, since purchasing, my Tahoe has had a rough idle. Absolutely no codes. I have either done some or mechanic did the other, but literally I had every you could think of done to pinpoint the culprit. 2yrs later I’m still at a loss. When my truck broke down; radiator hose cracked. The tow truck guy told me that there is a “plug” underneath the engine that he replaced. Which is what caused the rough idle/missfire issue. Now I reached out to the tow company, and he no longer works there. I forget which plug and where it’s located. I just remember it was under the engine. And 07 tahoes are notorious for this misfire/rough idle feeling.
lastly, my front differential and transfer case are both leaking diff fluid and oil. I had both replaced (diff has been replaced twice now. 1st time I assumed the ****ty dealership replaced it with a remanned diff. My mechanic replaced it with a new one). Trans was replaced by the previous owner. I’m just at a loss. And need some guidance. Especially since they have been replaced with new parts.

Treat the forum like a city hall, not a construction site. Thanks.
Also, try to limit your posts to one question at a time. No laundry lists.
Never rely on what a seller tells you, no matter how honest you think they are. You have no idea of their skills level, and their incentive is sell the vehicle.
Check things out for yourself or have a mechanic inspect it before purchasing.
if your diagnostic tool has live data, look through there for anything unusual.
What troubleshooting have you tried?
The usual tune up procedure applies. Start with easy stuff ... Fresh air filter , spark plugs and ignition components. Clean out the throttle body. Run some injector cleaner. Move onto deeper things ... smoke test for vacuum leaks, compression test, exhaust backpressure, etc.

I apologize.

yes you are right. It wasn’t me who did the foot work with purchasing. Private sale. My husband insisted on “wearing the pants” even though he has no clue about a vehicle. Not that I’m a “know all” I learn as I go. But have always done my own work as long as I have the tools to do so. If I can’t I send it to a shop. 2 days after purchasing , I sent my truck to a Chevy dealership to go over it with a fine tooth and comb… which was basically a spit in my face with how they handled everything. The dash cluster was swapped apparently with a 113,000 mile dash vs what the mileage actually was. Initially it didn’t show up on carfax. Not until after I purchased. Which means he swapped it.

I apologize if I didn’t respond correctly. I’m still trying to navigate this forum.
its a 50,000 dollar truck at this point. Paid 11 grand cash for what we thought was 111,000 miles. Nothing was on carfax, and I didn’t know about the mileage until I got the title in the mail, it actually had 203,000 plus. The dash cluster was obviously switched. But no one bothered to correct the mileage (intentional) o did my digging and found the original owner, and when he got rid of it it had 203,000 miles. I should have and could have taken the guy to court. But I had too much on my plate to make that a priority. 8 grand to inspect. Had no choice. Didn’t have a license at the time to go and buy another vehicle. I’m not complaining, I love my truck. Karma comes to those who knowingly and willingly try to harm others.
