Default 07 Tahoe Foglights

I just wanted to let you know that the foglights are not 880. I wanted to match them to my 6000K HID's and bought some 880 bulbs in 6000K. They don't fit! GM is using some sort of propietary bulb that no one carries yet.

Hey GC...Check out post #6 in the "REMOVING HEADLAMPS" thread.

He says that the driving lights are "3157K". Not sure what that means, but I'm assuming this is the bulb type.

He is talking about the fog lights, not the DRLs. No way a 3157 powers the fog lights.

I was also under the impression that the fogs were 880s..****ty news gcmartin. Was the 880 completely different from whats in there? Are you sure the 880s you have arent just poorly made?

Zx1100f1,

I purchased an 2007 LS model Tahoe, and it didnt come with the fog lights in the lower bumper. Do you know the factory part number for that so I could add those?

The part # for the fog-light assembly is 15839896 you will need two of them and they retail for $87.98 apiece.
The dash switch is part # 15096896 and it runs $60
There are also two wire harness extensions that you need for each fog-light unit (X2) part #15789984 and they go for $10 each.

And don’t ask me why GM does what it does. They’re like a woman; as soon as you think that you got em all figured out they go and change everything just to spite you.
