I have a 2007 Tahoe. The rear door/hatch locks, However when you hit a bump or some time when it is just sitting in the driveway the problem occurs..

The alarm goes off - when sitting.. When your driving the interior light goes on. Rear door open in indicated on the dash.

I am trying to find out if I should replace the latch or is there a separate sensor. Any help would be great.

Sounds like the latch may not be adjusted properly.
