Look into a Black Bear custom tune. I hear that it is the best power adder.

Welcome to the forum. +1 on above. Justin Bear can custom tune your computer to what you want including removing some or all of the torque management.

I went with the K&N cold air intake and Flowmaster cat-back exhaust, the one with the split tips. Makes it look like dual exhaust. The truck sounds really nice now. I'm gonna do the BlackBear tune as well.

How much HP can be expected by adding the CAI? Same question for the tune?

don't expect much fro the CAI, i have the Volant CAI with their new NON-oil filter, GM performence exhaust, mobil1 full synthetic oil and i do not notice any increase in power at all but it DOES sound really good though . as for the tune, i'm still trying to read some more before getting one.

I'm not a mechanic, but I would say the filter and exhaust are good for a few extra horsepower. The stock air intake is pretty restrictive. But I really didn't do the mods for the horsepower. The K&N is good for life, so I never have to buy another filter. I've put one in every car I've ever owned. The exhaust I did for the sound! I had Flowmasters in my '93 5.0 Mustang and have been hooked ever since.

what about warranty issues? is the "tune" undetectable by the service people at the dealership?
