I lost both of my tahoe keys with remotes im trying to find out what i can do to get new ones without having to go to the dealership n get robbed i know about buying the keys off ebay as well as the remotes but how can i get them cut without a old one to compare to ? Thanks in advance

 

contact the dealer for the key codes. they can make a duplicate from them. however the keys may need to be programmed before you can use them, that may require that the vehicle be towed to the dealer.

Not sure if you have any choice but the dealer. Most key shops won't do it due to the liability if it's a stolen truck.

 

if you can get one key cut from the dealer, you can get blanks and remotes from ebay and have them cut and programmed. i have programming instructions if you need them. just have to look for them. lmk. also some locksmiths cant cut them because they dont have the proper machine. if you find a good locksmith then it can be done. i had 2 keys cut for $3 each and then programmed them myself. this was on my 07 ltz burb. 2 keys on ebay $11 shipped and 1 remote is ~ $15

I've heard up to $200 for some makes.
