Default 07 Tahoe LT - Suspension?

Can anyone offer any advise on the proper suspension package for towing before I call GM? I'm towing a tandam axel boat trailer rated around 3800 - 4100lbs and Tahoe shocks are factory installed, and my guess is that they are the standard shocks for that vehicle. The truck is awful bouncy under certain scenarios such as, change in road surface, and general peaks and valleys in the road. I have the boat trailer looked at twice, and had the tahoe at a Chevy dealer to look over.

Everyone comes back and says everything is fine. Gave my boat/trailer mechanic a ride and he could definetly feel what I was describing, which wasn't a normal ride. I suspect the Chevy guys were right when they said my shocks were fine, but I feel like they're fine when not towing.

I'm told there is several (20 or more) different shock setups, and was wondering if anyone could recommend a proper package.

Thanks

Default shocks

do you tow far? my 26' boat would toss my 95 tahoe around like it was in command...

my 09, I just push the tow/haul button and everything stiffens up and it drags out the shifts perfectly....

the 09's longer frame, weight and well, everything keep me the driver and the tow vehicle 100% in control of the trailer.

I think you'd sacrifice non towing handling for towing handling if you did anything...

is that worth it?

I tow anywhere from 30 minutes to up to 3.5 hours. Getting bucked around for that amount of time is worth it.

You could just add a set of air bags (helper bags)in the rear. You would just air them up when towing and deflate them when you are not. I have a 2007 Tahoe LS (less stuff) and a 2003 23' Stingray that has a 496 big block in it, on a tandem trailer. The boat weights about 4500 to 5000 pounds( if I remember correctly). My truck rides perfectly normal when towing ( I do not have air bags) (or auto ride suspension like the LT model). Either your shock are weak or your coil spring. I would really suspect it is your trailer though. Does it have the proper tires on it? (trailer tires or car/truck tires)
