Default 07 Tahoe rear DVD question

Has anyone figured out how to get the DVD back to the rear screen after you turn off the ignition when the DVD was already playing? We have to remove the DVD and re-insert it and go all through the intro crap all over again. Every time we have a DVD playing and then turn off the car, when we start the car again, the rear screen is black but I can hear the DVD playing. Can't figure out how to get the rear sceen back on again. Any clues?

HI,
I just bought a 2007 program tahoe. It didnt not have the wireless headphones or remote for the factory rear dvd. Can anyone direct me where to find some that will work? Also part numbers for the remote and headphones?

DOes anyone have a set they dont use or want to sell? Thanks.

I reported this problem to the dealer and they said this is normal. Of course that is crap. It is a manufacturing
defect that GM isn't aknowleging yet. I've owned previous GM suv's with very similar DVD systems in the
back which did not do this. Apparently all models of the 07 Tahoe have this problem.

I checked to see if mine did that, and it doesnt. I watched a movie.....turned off the car. Then fired it back up and it picked up where it was last played. Am I doing something wrong?

I don't think this is a factory GM option. Your dealer probably installed it aftermarket.

The DVD issue you are having is actually a Flaw.... It happens in about 1/2 of all DVD packages for the 07 tahoe. I have the same issue and their is a relay out. The Dealer will replace this under warranty ( The entire Unit ) I had this done to mine. You dont have to use the remote to get the screen to come back... Hope this helps!
