Default '07 Tahoe - Remote Start Question

Occasionally when I use the factoryremote startmy enginewill turn over for literally about a second and then shut off. Has this happened to anyone else? Does anybody know what this could be?

I've had this happen once in a while too... The only things I can think of it that I either hold the start button down too long, or... my low fuel light is on.

Looks like there are still problems with this...

I've never had them but here is a post discussing this issue.

It has been discovered that many times when a vehicle has failed to remote start or shut off right after remote starting that the driver has inadvertently pressed the Lock or Unlock buttons multiple times prior to the vehicle starting.

Make a concerted effort to simply push the Lock button once then push and hold the Start button until the corner lamps flash then immediately release the Start button and see if this doesn’t cure your problem.

hmmm I know your very knowledgebale ZF...but, and correct me if I am wrong, (it happens) you have to hitthe lock 2 times in order for the CS to work,AND you can only use it twice, meaning after you start you truck from the house 2 times, you have to go cycle the key in teh vehicle, or it will not start again.....

ya just tried it on the lot on a couple trucks it wont work if you only hit lock once, have to hit it twice....had to make sure...

OK then I'll correct you. You are wrong.
Push the Lock button once then immediately push and hold the Start button for about 4 seconds.

Yeah, I always hit mine once, then hold start (Suburban).

I'm impressed with the range. Last night I started it from two floors away in a parking garage. I regularly start it from my kitchen -- the vehicle is at the far end of the garage, probably about 70' away, but even more impressively, my kitchen is all stainless steel... I'm surprised the signal makes it through.
