I have a S85, I'd like a P85D however, just not in the budget. Nor did I know how much I'd love the car... but now I truly want a P85D. I bought mine just to hold me over for the Model X.
I have the 'normal' 19s. I actually think they are pretty good looking. I plasti-dipped them black to match the black car.
I almost bought one with the 21s, however stories about pot holes, tire wear, etc, made me stick w/the 19s. The 21s however look bad *** and have just slightly more grip in the turns. They don't seem to slide like mine do when you really push it. They stick, but that stick comes at a price.
For the 19s there are dozens of tire choices on tire rack. For the 21s, not so much. I've see on the Tesla forum there's a company that makes 20s that look just like the factory 21s, but give you more sidewall and tire choices.
Or I could stop punching it off the line every day... but where's the fun in that?
I'm still waiting to test drive and see a Model X up close, before deciding to trade mine in on a X or P85D. I kind of have a thing for black... I wish I still had my Rubicon to get a pic of all 3 in one shot, but I traded that in for the S. It was also black w/black wheels.
