07 Tahoe tow receiver wear

I have 30K miles on my 07 with about 3K miles towing a 6K pound utility trailer. The hole for the pin that keeps the stinger in the receiver is worn oblong, about 1/8",on one side. Has anyone else had this problem?

I had that on my '95 but that was years of towing. My dad's excursion has that from towin a 14k+ boat trailer...

You could weld in beefier pieces?
