07 Tahoe Turbo
Hope I didn't deceive anyone with the subject, I think I have a problem.
When I stomp on the gas, and the revs go up to redline in 1st and 2nd gears (when the engine is pulling pretty good), I hear a whine coming from the engine compartment, it sounds like a turbo spooling up, but I think it my be a belt slipping a little. I also have a little squeal when I first start in the morning - I'm wondering if it is part of the same issue. Has anyone replaced their belts due to either of these problems?

You didn't say how many miles you had on the belt but it could be one of two things one of which ZX1100F1 mentioned. The other is the idler tensioning spring is old and doesn't keep the belt tight enough.
