OK so let me get this straight.......We can not buy wiper blade replacementsfrom an auto supply store or Wal Mart any longer?????

In addition to that, the one's from the dealer are $20 bucks a piece.....??


Blg.....I agree the wiper design & spray is not very efficient.....probably use 20 -30 oz of fluid just to wet my entire windshield..

Also while I realize that the hard winter I have experienced while here in Kansas was extreme, I have only had my Tahoe since the first of December & my blades are already squeaking so loudly I can barely stand it.

I love my Tahoe, but this is ridiculous!!!!!

 

I just ran into the $20 for each of the new blades that go on my $44K worth of Suburban. I don't get it. This is pretty rediculous. And to top it all off. The dealership didn't have any today after I took the blades that didn't work back to Wal-Mart. I got the "they should be in today" answer. And they only ordered one freakin set.

 

the spray system and the whole wiper designs makes me wanna break them. any way to tweak them to spray a lil more sufficiently? mine have not seen the what a chicago snow storm is like yet.

gm has no fix for this either? great!

 

Mine have seen a Chicago snow season and they still have a crappy spray pattern. I tried moving and tilting the spray nizzle with no good solution. I just dealt with it after awhile.

 

GM listening? 'Working as designed' is not cutting it. FIX the spray pattern!

 

FYI - Walmart sells Michelin blades for $17 each that mount perfectly to the Hoe. Also, AdvancedAuto has blades by Python that fit as well at the same price.

I have the Michelin's on my truckm and they work perfectly.

 

Replacce the arm or just the blade? which ones? Are they listed as 07 Tahoe blades

 

As much as I hate these blades and the replacement cost and lack of a suitable winter blade, I am still using the originals which are 18 mo. old now. I clean them each time I wash the truck (as ZX recommended) and use some Prestone wiper blade conditioner (which may be alcohol) on them periodically. They don't streak. Had to replace rubber in the rear a couple of months ago.

***************** PLEASE READ THIS REVIEW **************** This review only applies to Rain-X Latitude-2 wiper blade designed for what Rain-X describes as Insert & Lock (I&L) wiper arms. This 22” wiper blade fits all 2007 and later models of Cadillac Escalade (all models), Chevrolet Silverado, Suburban and Tahoe, GMC Sierra and Yukon amongst other manufacturers. This wiper blade was purchased because of a recommendation in the November 2008 issue of Consumers Reports. In all fairness to CR only the Rain-X Latitude non dash 2 were tested.The attachment for the blade to the wiper arm is not very robust (unlike the original General Motors OEM blades for Pinch Tab Wiper Arms) and keeps disengaging from the arm when it is lifted for cleaning the windshield (of snow and ice). The metal shoe which is fastened to the blade detaches easily from the plastic arm attachment device. These wiper blades are more expensive then others and yet their attachment method is not as secure as the original OEM blades. It could be quite possible for the Rain-X Latitude-2 to disengage from the wiper arm while driving (in a storm)! Apparently Rain-X did not test this design with snow and ice on the windshield. What was wrong with the OEM attachment design?These wiper blade were purchased directly from Rain-X. Contacting Rain-X regarding this issue has been an exercise in futility. They have not recognized the seriousness of this issue.
