Default 08' Tire Pressure sensors work on my 05' Tahoe??

I recently bought a 05' Tahoe and sold the aweful chrome rims that were on it and bought a set of OEM 16's. They do not have tire pressure sensors in them.

I want to get a new style set. I have found a local caigslist seller with a set of 17" of a 08' Silverado. Will my car recognized the TPS from 08'?

I know its a diff part number, but not sure if they will still work?

Thanks so much in advance!

These are the rims in question, 5200 miles on tires, for $800 with centercaps, lugs and TPS.

I don't think the NBS TPMS will work w/ the older trucks.

Can I at least sell the sensors that come with the wheels and buy the right ones and install them on these wheels?

Sensors will not work. 07 and newer is a different algorithm than 05/06 I think you need white sensors.
