Default 09 tahoe aux trans cooler??????

I know there is a factory trans cooler that is installed as an option... I have seen it on some when I was looking to buy the Tahoe. Of course, to find the perfect Tahoe with all of YOUR options is next to impossible to find. I didn' get the aux. cooler. So I figured that I would get the dealer to install one. No biggie! I call the dealer and they said there is one for the Tahoe, but it is not available at this time! I don't understand. Now I can go online and see 07-09 OEM coolers but it seems it is just a general description. Why would it be online but the dealer saying it is not available? Is the one online a mistake. I don't know how much the Chevy Tahoes have changed from 07 to 09 in terms of transmission. I tow a camper and don't want to go without one.

Please help if you have any info...

Why don't you install an aftermarket one? I don't tow much, but I make some long trips a couple times a year so I opted to install one; I thought the stock one was kinda small. I installed the largest trans cooler from B&M, and still have my stock one on there (so a total of 2 on my '02 Tahoe). It'll attach right onto the stock trans lines and you can brace it to the front of the radiator.

With my warranty and my extended warranty I would like to be on the safe side and get the dealer that I boiught it from to do the work and install a GM cooler. An aftermarket may create an issue if something were to happen down the road with trnasmission.

The 2009 & 2010s have the 6-spd tranny which might be the difference.
