1995 Chevrolet Tahoe
If your talking about the part I think you are, it's under the hood in front of the passenger side firewall. It has 3 hoses connecting to it, (i think) one from the engine, one to the core and one back somewhere else. it also has a small hose for the vaccum control part... that adjusts the 'blending'...
so, yes, it's under the hood, just follow the small coolant lines.
I replaced the heater core in my 1995, it's a fairly easy job.

No, that is not the one I was refering to. I am getting hot coolant through the heater core but no heat inside the vehicle. It has to be the tempature blend door in the dash. Any help is greatly appreciated!
