1995 Chevy Suburban 2500 Overheating
My husband has a 1995 Chevy Suburban 2500 which has a fairly new radiator, thermostat and radiator cap replaced. It started overheating and it has gone to the 3/4 mark and when he releasing the pressure, the temp goes down, but it happens every time he first drives the vehicle in the morning and gets into the car to drive it home. He has to stop and release the pressures each time. He has flushed radiator, replaced the radiator cap and thermostat. There doesn't appear to be a cracked block or any leakage. His fan seems to work fine. HELP. NEED ADVICE.

My first thought is that it has a bad (sticking closed) thermostat.
then...
Some cooling systems are reluctant to move all the air out of them when changed, and have to be put into a vacuum to get the air removed.

SWHouston, thanks for the advice. We just put in a new water pump and it is still overheating. I will tell my husband about your suggestion to have the system vacuumed out. Can we vacuum out the system ourselves?
