Like the title says, my blower resistor just went bad (only blows on high) and the glovebox is stuck and won't open.

I forgot how to latch works on the glovebox and I've tried to get it open and no luck. Now my resistor went bad and I have to get the glovebox open.

My truck is a 1995 two door tahoe. It's also a Z71 but the only place that says Z71 is inside the glovebox... hence the reason I don't want to break it pulling it out.

The bottom right side of the glove box hangs lower than the left leading me to believe the hinge on the right side is broken, I think that's why it's having trouble opening.

Can anyone provide a good way to open this, fix it and get to the resistor without breaking it? Thanks for any advice!

 

Would someone mind uploading a picture of the latch on the inside of the glovebox so I can try to work this apart?

Looks like no one has run into this issue before?

 

Bump - Anyone want to take a pic of their glvoebox and post it? It would really be appreciated. I want to fix this tomorrow and really don't want to break my glovebox trying to open it.
