Question 1997 Chevy Tahoe-Check Engine Light

Check engine light on. Had my check engine light checked adn got a code P0719 with a definition of brake switch circuit low input. The explanation is vechicle speed over 35 mph and down to 0 mph 5 times- No change in brake switch input detected. could this be a bad brake switch orsomething else. Also the brakes feel ok when stopping, but when you are at a dead stop the breaks feel spungy . You can push the brake pedal almost all the way to the floor board. Thanks in advance.

Have you checked the brake switch? make sure all the wires are firmly connected and the switch actuates...
Might also want to check all fuses to make sure its not a blown fuse....

As for the spongy... when was the last time the brake system was bled?
Could also be a bad brake booster...
