1997 Suburban Heater conrol issue
Good afternoon all. I recently purchased a 1997 Suburban. The truck is in excellent shape and I love it. I realized today that the heater blows only in the floor mode. When I switch it to face, or defrost I can hear the air change but only a little flow come out of the vents. The rear heater works just fine. When I make the move it sound like the air is "re-directed" and the floor air flow is diminished, but virtually nothing out of the top vents, where do I start. I ordered a manual for it today, so hopefully that will help.

You can reach under the steering column, by the pedals, and there is a lever you can push that will re-set the blower motor. But most likely you need to replace the blower motor. I just ghetto-rigged mine for now. I secured the lever in place so it wouldn't fall back & only blow from the bottom vents. Has been just fine for a few months now!
