I have a 1997 Tahoe and the left side passenger door wouldn't close. I touched something on the latch and closed the door and it never opened again. A family friend disassembled the door (not easy when you can't open it), and removed the latch. He showed me that if he moved the pin that the actuator rod would normally move, nothing happened. I told me if I get a new latch he would put it in for me. I've been searching for the left side passenger latch for my Tahoe for 2 months now and can't find one. Plenty of left / ride front door latches; but no passenger latch. I'm beginning to wonder if front and passenger latches might be the same? Any advice out there; I really need that door to work.
