Default 1998 Suburban thermostat

I have a 1998 Suburban Vortec 5.7

What temp thermostat should I use?

The thermostat is sticking until it gets close to the danger zone....and then opens.

Then it will fluctuate up and down

Brand name and temp recommendation appreciated.

Welcome to the forum. Most modern low-emission engines use a 190° thermostat but that's not exact for your application necessarily. If nobody weighs in on this then I would check with a dealer's parts department or service department.

My 1998 K-1500 Vortec has a 195 F thermostat. Get A/C Delco.
