Default 1999 'Burb key fob

I recently purchased a '99 k1500 burb with no key-fob. The truck has ambulance-style rear doors.

Can anyone tell me if the key-fob for this truck is the same as for other trucks of this year? I've seen the '99 fob and it has 3 buttons (lock, unlock, and x2 Rear). The rear button is what i'm wondering about. Was this a feature of the ambi doors that you could unlock them remotely?

Thanks.
Pics to follow.

this link gives the numbers for the remote that works for your rig. if the remote you have has the same numbers, it'll work. if numbers are different, then no. pressing the unlock button once will unlock drivers door, pressing twice will unlock all doors. pressing the x2 should unlock the rear doors.

ok, easy way here. Call the Chevy/GM dealer and ask for the Parts Dept. Give them your vin and ask them for the part # for the key fob for your vin. Write it down and head over to Ebay. Search title and description for that part #. This will bring up all the key fobs that work for that part #. Buy as many as you need and program them when they come in. Instructions are usually provided but can be found online in at www.programyourremote.com

Its been my experience with my local dealer that they won't give out part numbers over the phone on some items... I'm guessing its to keep you from getting the parts cheaper somewhere else and using them to only get the number...

If your parts dept won't give you the part #, then call Serra Chevrolet(my local) and ask for parts. They have always given me the part #'s. Hope this helps. 866-453-7408 It's even toll free! And no, I don't have any affiliation with them. They just have great service and good prices for little parts that I needed.
