Question 1999 chevy suburban fuel pump issue

I have had to replace the fuel pump on my 99 suburban 3 times in the last 4 years. Now the pump has stopped working again. Can the in-tank fuel pump be by-passed with an exterior mounted pump?

Welcome to the forum, anything is possible if you have the time and money to put into it....
What brand of pump are you using? the OEM pumps tend to last much longer then the after market brands.
The conditions the pump is used under can also affect longevity, running the tank near empty causes a lot of heat build up and can cause the pump to fail as the fuel is used to cool the motor.
