Are you going to gut the cats? Straight pipes don't sound good with cats...

I would advise against putting straight pipes on your suburban, you are asking for trouble if you cut out the cats. You have 4 O2 sensors two before and two after your cats if you take them out your SEL will stay on and the motor will not run right. Do a cat back dual exhaust put some Flowmasters on it or Magnaflo mufflers and you will be much happier with it.

and remember that the burb amplifies the sound inside not like a pickup where it is outside.

it means that all the noise and vibrations will come back inside . kinda like an echo inside the truck. with a pickup the vibrations and noise will be more outside as there is noting above the exhaust (in the back) that is directly linked to the inside
