Unhappy 1999 Suburban No Start

I have a 1999 Suburban with a no start. Has been tuned, new fuel pump, turns over good but does not start. Getting fire to plugs and fuel. At times it sounds like it wants to start but won't. Any help greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Have you checked compression? Read the codes? Double check the fuel pressure, you can borrow a tester from a lot of auto parts stores. What is the history, has it run well recently? Check the basics, like plug wires routed correctly. If you are getting fuel at good pressure and spark at the right time, it would run.

At times it will start and run good until you turn the motor off. It might start and run good when you try to start it or it might have to set a few days and it will start and run. When it starts it runs perfectly.

Question is too wide open at this point. Rich10 has the right direction. The basics are the basics for a reason.

Fuel, spark and compression. Has to be one of these. Are there codes?

Sounds like it is somehow flooded/not getting air.
