2 issues at same time!
I have a 2007 suburban. I’m not familiar with fixing vehicles so sorry if I use the wrong terms.
I started my suv today and my Air bag drivers side light was red and it Indicated I need to maintain my air bag. Should I try to reset it or is this something I should take to my local mechanic? I went to go open my lift with my key opener and it did nothing, no noise just nothing, the inside Swith didn’t work either. It’s not off or anything just no movement. Born issues at the same time and relation?? If it’s a sensor issue could it affect both or just my bad luck? Amy info would help before I have to take a loan out to fix these 2 issues. Thank you!

get the airbag code read. if they are for a front impact sensor...you can change that yourself. if its for anything else...have a shop do the diagnosis and repair.
does the rear liftgate work if you help lift it open...if yes, the assist rod is weak.
