Default 2-WAY REMOTE KEY FOB

Recently got a 2-way remote and have two questions.

1. I noticed that if you lock with the old remote and then query status w/ the 2-way, it shows it still unlocked. Is that normal?

2. Have not been able to figure out how to display the time. Manual says some models don't but fails to say which ones those are. I've got remote start and power liftgate. Anyone know if that one doesn't have the time function.

I've only come into contact with 1 of these things before. Man are the HUGE! anyways....I looked throught the Service Info for these things, and the only info i can come up with is how to install it. There aren't any user guides or anything that pertains to your questions. I did find this though and found it kind of amusing:

To verify all LCD display segments are operating properly, pressing the left transmitter button for 10 seconds will briefly display all LCD segments. In some situations, it is possible for a transmitter to operate vehicle devices such as door lock or remote start, but is unable to receive information from the RCDLR for display on the LCD. This may be a normal occurrence based on conditions and no attempt should be made to correct it.

CUSTOMER: "I have no confirmation on my 2-way remote"
DEALER: "I know.....but it says I'm not allowed to fix it" haha

I will say this though man....I have done a ton of 2-way aftermarket remote starters, and when you press the button on the 1-way remote, you do not get confirmation on the 2-way remote at all. You only get confirmation on the 2-ways remote when you acually use the 2-way remote

As for the clock issue, maybe talk to the parts dept at your dealer and see if they can provide some insight

Thanks. Plan to ask service about the clock. Suspect since the space is used for the ten minute countdown on a remote start, that it's not available for a separate clock function.

I also suspect that the status is just maintained in memory from when the action was taken and confirmed and when you request status, it just gets it from memory which explains why it doesn't work with the 1-way.

Have you been able to display tire pressure on remote, or change the radio station thru the remote. If you have not then you need to hit the right side button (twice I think) and use the left side button to toggle between functions. I have install maybe 10 on chevy tahoe, silverado's and avalanches. I have installed abouth ten in the new traverse.

If you have not seen the backup image (Nav radio only) on the traverse go to a dealer and check it out. It will display a warning symbol (red triangle) on what is closest to vehicle, if someone walks behind you the triangle follows that person across the screen.

100 points!, no, but its very cool, I almost backed over a kid leaving McD once, the mom ran behind screaming something or other... from the driver's seat there was nothing behind me (kid was like 2-3 feet tall)... so Go backup cams!

Yes, everything seems to work OK. Just wondered about the time function.

Did you use the $27 activator on the glass before sticking the antenna on? I was a little taken aback by that since I figured it was the same thing the body shop uses when putting trim on. But maybe not. Maybe same stuff they use on the rear view mirror mounts on the windshield.
