Default 2000 suburban 5.3 vaccum thru dipstick

Ok i have 2000 suburban 5.3 vortec first year for this engine.i notice when pulling the dipstick out.i have a small amount of vaccum is it spouse to do that?

I have never bothered to see if you get a vacuum draw through the dip stick hole but I suppose you would, after all that is what the PCV is doing, ventilating the crank case...

Alright thank's that take care 1 problem.reason i ask is because i have little blue smoke.after long idle like 5 min's when i revv it.but after the smoke goes away.have did compression test there all good 165 psi all 8.
