On the title of my Tahoe it says it is a 2000 but everywhere i look on the internet it looks just like the 1999 and looks nothing like the more rounded off 2000 or 2001. I'm confused. If you guys could help me out i would appreciate it. I tried to post pictures of it but for some reason the site wouldn't let me.

 

There was a model change in the middle of that year. At least I've been told that. Everytime someone at the dealership talks about mine they say it's the new style 2000 so I'm guessing that's what you are referring to. Be careful when buying dashboards, seats, etc. as it sounds like you have the 1999 style while mine has the 2001 style.

 

If your model is a 2000 Z71 then it is an old style and all is correct.
Chevrolet continued to produce the old Z71 Tahoe for some time as a 2000 model, they had a large stock pile of Z71 specific parts (fender flares, wheels, tube step bars, etc) that were purchased under contractual agreements and needed to be used up.

 

Thanks A lot! So when i buy parts for it should i buy for a '99 or a '00?

 

Just be sure that if you buy for a 2000 that you specify that it is the old style, if in doubt then tell em its a 1999 as the parts are all the same.
