hey there, by 2000 tahoe i'm thinking it's the one with the 5.3L,
as far as the air blowing, that is normal. As you drive, the air gets forced into the cabin. The doors don't shut when you shut the blower motor off, they go into default and there will always be some air flowing past the blower motor. Other wise you would suffocate by not having fresh air.
As far as other prblems on this truck, if you have a rouch idle when cold you will need intake gaskets
if you have an extended crank, you will most likely need a fuel pressure regulator. You can tell if it's bad by taking the vacuum hose off of it and see if there is fuel inside or it smells like fuel.
On occasion the extended crank is caused by the fuel pump going bad and returning fuel pressure to the tank so it has to start from scratch when you try to start.
front axel seals seem to leak on those.
and i think that those are the main things. Good luck with the chevy

well it takes them a few seconds to down shift, but try cleaning your throttle body, a far as the wetness dude. go fish.. sorry nothing typical on them,. and if it was the heater core, it's be on the pass side and you'd smell it.

HAd the broken emergency brake cable on my 2002. This was in 2004. I never use the e-brake so I found out about it when it failed state inspection. Fixed at dealer for about $200 BUT we were pissed since we never use the thing. Wrote a letter to GM, they reimbursed the repair cost. It's apparently a common problem. You might check this out.

For the daytime running lights press and release the dome light over ride button four times real fast. should turn them on.

The failure on running lights seem to be a problem. I've seen many with only 1 working or none at all. Tje water on passenger side carpet is from a clogged a/c drain. Cleat it out so the water will drain outside of the cabin. I think the other problems have been addressed by other posts.

Thank you viperjuice. Ishould have read this blog yrs ago. Had extended crank and rough idle since I bought my Tahoe, swapped the fuel pressure regulator, idles smooth and starts right up. Dealer said problem was low battery. So much for dealer mechanics.
