Hey guys I'm new here... I have a question...

I currently Drive a 2001 Yukon XL SLT autoride sunroof etc..I have around 89,000 on it.. Never have had a problem with it.. ABS sensers got corroded once but that was a recall..

I have some freinds who want to sell there 2000 Tahoe LT with 137,000 miles.. its exactly the same minus the extra 2 feet and the sunroof and the autoride system...

I've driven it several times and I've notice it doesnt have the pep my Yukon has only differnt in the motor i can see is the top plastic peice is more square than mine but thats it... air intake and everything else looks the same..It doesnt downshift as quick as mine when you step on it..I've layed it down to the floor at about 35mph and slowly picked up speed on level ground.... I knew something was wrong since my Yukon which has the same motor and everything will put me back in my seat if i floored it at 35mph.. it seems to be a bit louder idleing than mine and more fan noise. i dont understand why.. its just the same only differnt bumpers and grills..Same motors Both of them are 4x4's..you think the Tahoe would have more pep since it doesnt have the extra length and the Autoride system..Both vechicals were taken well care of..I told my freinds after i drove it something wasnt right.. so they took it to the dealer and the dealer said the gas filter was dirty so they replaced it.. I drove it after.. it did have more power but still nothing like my Yukon and also it doesnt down shift as quick as my Yukon...Go Figure...I dont understand at all..

Was there ever any differences made to either the motor or the Tranny computer in 01? or is there something messed up in the computer not letting it downshift like it should?

I thinking of buying this Tahoe this spring mainly because I will get a good deal on it..But if this thing has some issues with the motor then I dont really know...They both have the 5.3 liter..Any Ideas would be Great...

Might check injectors and have them cleaned.
