Default 99 SUBERBAN ELECTICAL PROBLEMS break lights

THERE ARE A FEW PROBLEMS ALL STEMING FROM A STARTER I CHANGED

I changed my starter one day and forgot to disconnect the battery. Well I got a friendly reminder from a huge spark. So after I disconnected the battery and then began to properly install the starter. Got the starter all in nice and easy and now I am experiancing quite a few electrical problems as followed.

1. break lights no longer work. Both break llights dont light up when the petal is pressed. Will glow if the head lights are turned on but will not glow brighter when pedal is pressed. Center break light above the rear doors work fine.

2. running day lights are nolonger functioning.

3. hazzard lights will not work. but all blinkers do

4. Once in a while it is hard to put the in drive. Safety switch im asuming on break, will not let car in drive. Have to start truck in N and then put into drive.

5. I believe my 4 wheel drive is also affected by this as well. I put truck in 4 low and had the damedest time getting it out. Had to restart, serveral time before it would come out.

I checked all fuse, bus fuses, in both fuse boxes and non are blown. The larger fuses have no visible indicator to see if they are blown. I NEED HELP. Is there a fuseable link or something sorted out somewhere some one please help. I have also check bulbs.

NEED help before I hand over life savings to dealer ship.
