Default Electical Problems - 2002 and 2003

My wife had a 2002 and I am currently considering a 2003 Venture. Both vehicles have the same electrical problems: Power door locks work intermittently on sliding rear doors. Both vehicles had the problem "repaired" only to reoccur again - within 2 months of the repair.

Anyone else with power locks have this problem? Anyone know what the cause may be - and solution to fix it?

Thanks,

Hi Scott. I had the same problem in a Venture 98 and solved it cleaning sliding doors contacts and improving door harness connectors.

RiMau:

Thanks, The 2003 had the contacts cleaned the first time it acted up - it fixed it for a month or two. It's a company car that a friend is driving - so they took it to the shop yesterday to fix everything before I take posession of it. I'm not sure what they did to fix it this time.

I plan on cleaning the contacts with every oil change and hopefully that will do it....
